For added appeal, this is silhouetted on a nicely mottled background. A total of eight different designs are combined to create a diverse yet coordinated and easy mix of unique and versatile prints. In addition to the theme print of Misty Fern, an allover floral in soft monotones gives the feel of an old country garden. A slightly abstract “screen” or woven-look print will have many uses as a softly textured background fabric. The more sharply mottled “scale” or “bubble” print, although also monochromatic, has a more defined texture and a stronger color variation. Softly turning leaves have an almost watercolor appearance in both pastel and deeper shades. Wavy bars of multi-colors are highlighted with irregularly spaced metallic lines which impart rhythm and movement as the fabric unfolds. Allover branches laden with leaves, many outlined in gold, provide some glitter among a number of soft and complementary colors. This, combined with beautiful colorations of maple leaves, also tinged with gold and silver outlines, will bring zest and richness to any quilt or wearable artwork.
